A start made on Bahamas‘ overhaul
We begin 2026 with an update on work on 45596 at Tyseley Locomotive Works. Our volunteers have been working there to undertake the preliminary stripping of components prior to the removal of the boiler. Various fitting are to be returned to our workshop at Ingrow for inspection and refurbishment as required.
Meanwhile LNWR ‘Coal Tank’ 1054 is to operate some of the winter service trains on the KWVR. The dates anticipated are 17/18 and 24/25 January, and 7/8 and 21/22 February.
